RubyDay is the foremost Italian event dedicated to a language we really love: Ruby.
We took part in this event for many years, both as viewers and as speakers. In 2015 we organised the Italian RubyDay in Turin, together with Cantiere Creativo and Nebulab; the second edition was held in Florence on November 25 and 26, 2016.
We decided to do it both to give back part of the commitment the Italian Ruby community and the association Ruby Italia have invested in past years, and to give new life to the event thanks to our professional network and to the international scope we were able to achieve.

Torino Coding Society is the series of meetings, organised by weLaika, aimed at acquanting the developers with Ruby, JavaScript, iOS, Android and much more.
Less technical matters are dealt with as well: the communication with clients, the relationships between designers and developers, the work methodologies.
It is traditional to finish the meetings by eating together and exchanging opinions about the topic of the meeting.
Since the event of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Ada Lovelace Byron, weLaika decided to sponsor the event Ada Day, to reassert our commitment in overcoming gender inequality in the IT sector.
An important celebration, not only to commemorate the English scientist, but to promote the results achieved by the female professionals who dedicate their lives to science and technology.
