Open Museum Open City - MAXXI

OMOC, Open Museum Open City, is an exhibition by MAXXI - Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI secolo ("National Museum of the Arts of the Twenty-first Century") in Rome, staged from October 24 to November 30, 2014. weLaika, in collaboration with another partner, developed the website dedicated to the exhibition.

The site was built with Wordpress and Wordless.

It implements a catalogue of the exhibition's artists, events, works of art: they are interrelated, with anad hoc administration interface that allowed the editors to create the contents, leaving it to the software to generate in the individual views the lists of the related contents.

>Given the multimedia nature of the exhibition, the site massively uses HTML5 for audio and video playing. The home page audio player is a neat JavaScript component, tailor-made to recreate the designers' graphic and experiential idea.

The responsive layout of the most complex graphic components has been an intriguing and interesting challenge.

Sound becomes the key to interpret reality, a special way to explore it, to create an open museum, a condensated example of an open city.
